We are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, governance and performance of a complex, multi-jurisdictional business.

 

The opportunity:

As CFO, you will be a key member of the Executive and Country Leadership teams, responsible for driving financial performance, transforming finance processes, ensuring robust governance, and leading strategic decision-making across the organisation.

 

You will partner closely with regional and group stakeholders, bringing expert insight, strong leadership, and a forward-thinking approach to finance transformation and business growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of financial management, including capital, performance, reporting, governance and control across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Take full accountability for statutory and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
  • Implement and strengthen control environments and governance frameworks aligned to Group standards.
  • Drive and lead change, transformation and process improvement, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across Finance.
  • Oversee financial performance, aligning with Regional and Group CFO expectations and delivering against strategic and financial targets.
  • Manage the balance sheet, P&L and capital frameworks, ensuring adherence to group standards and policies.
  • Provide robust business planning, forecasting and financial insight to support strategic initiatives.
  • Drive cost discipline and expense management, ensuring delivery against financial targets.
  • Lead and approve significant capital and cash management decisions in line with governance frameworks.

 

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a commercially astute, strategic finance leader with deep technical capability and a strong track record in insurance.

 

Experience & qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified actuary with degree-level education.
  • Extensive senior finance experience within the insurance sector.
  • Strong technical expertise including IFRS 17 and solvency frameworks.
  • Proven track record with Finance Transformation initiatives
  • Experience operating in a multi-jurisdictional, international environment.

 

Leadership & capability:

  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of insurance risks, products and business models.
  • Highly developed strategic thinking and execution capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
